Pure Detroit Skyscraper Walking Tour

In the early part of the 20th century, Detroit was on the verge of a massive boom. In the years that followed the city would see an influx of money, entrepreneurs, architects, artisans, and workers who flocked to Detroit for its promise of opportunity. The vision of these people as well as the beauty that they would eventually create is preserved today in the City's collection of skyscrapers which dot the downtown landscape. Celebrate Detroit's architectural history on the Pure Detroit Skyscraper Walking Tour.

Our expert guide will lead you from the Guardian Building through the Detroit's skyscraper district. From Jefferson to Grand Circus Park you will see the development of Detroits historic and modern buildings while getting a firm grasp of Detroit's place in the great skyscraper boom of the 1920s, the push towards modernism in the 1950s and 60s, as well as what is to come in the Detroit's architectural future.
